The department hosts a number of cutting edge laboratories and facilities that address a wide range of problems and questions in the Earth sciences. Stretching from the clouds to the core, this work includes fundamental research in climate change, natural resources, rock and life interactions, isotope geochemistry, geochronology, and understanding the Earth's interior. Research in these laboratories uses state-of-the-art instrumentation and involves graduate and undergraduate students, as well as faculty and research staff.
