Biography
Hello!
I am a graduate student working with Dr. Jim Best. My research interests include river morphodynamics, fluid mechanics, and process sedimentology. My hobbies include relaxing on boats, paddleboarding, kayaking, and exploring the outdoors, sewing, gardening, fishing and western horsemanship.
Research Description
My current research focuses on the effects of cohesive sediments within fluvial environments through the use of mechanical physical experiments and advanced flow field imaging. Through a novel application of Laponite RD particles as a surrogate for natural clay in physical experiments, we are using Particle Imaging Velocimetry to take a look at the whole field fluid dynamics. Please feel free to contact me to discuss this research.
