Howdy! I am a master's student in the Conroy Paleoclimatology lab. Generally, I am interested in the interplay between past geological and biological systems and the implication of these interactions for conservation goals in the present. My project focuses on a large migratory population of waterfowl traveling to a very special lake in the Northern Great Plains during the mid-Holocene. We hope to understand how the presence of this population affected lake productivity by looking at geochemical and algal indicators in the lake sediment record.
