Online Graduate Certificate in Environmental Geology

The Department of Geology now offers an Online Graduate Certificate in Environmental Geology, designed to meet the existing high demand for advanced Geology expertise in industry problems, including:

  • Groundwater and Numerical modeling
  • Contaminant Migration Characterization
  • Water Chemistry and Bioremediation
  • Environmental Geophysics
  • Multi-scale Geodata analysis

The Graduate Certificate in Environmental Geology is a fully-online, 12-credit program and provides an ideal bridge into one of our full graduate programs, if so desired, and can therefore be completed in less than a year. 

 

How to Apply

The Environmental Geology Online Graduate Certificate Program starts in Fall 2021. Registration for non-degree students begins at noon on July 13th, 2021. Prerequisites
  • Bachelor of Science degree (in a physical science discipline) from an accredited college in the United States or an approved international institution of higher education.
  • GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher for the last 60 semester hours of their Bachelor of Science program. Students who do not meet the 3.0/4.0 GPA criterion may still be eligible to enroll if they have significant experience outside of the classroom. Such students are encouraged to contact Dr. J.
